Girls who want to become nurses in the Indian Army can now apply for a 4-year B.Sc Nursing course at the College of Nursing under the Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS). The AFMS has announced the availability of 220 seats for the first year of this undergraduate program.

The announcement for admission to the Indian Army BSc Nursing program for 2024 is expected around June 2024. The test and counseling for the BSc Nursing course will be managed by the Directorate General of Medical Services (Indian Army). They’ll provide the exact dates for counseling and interviews in an official notice.
To be eligible, applicants must be between 16 and 23 years old and must have taken the NEET UG 2024 exam. Selection is based on NEET scores, followed by tests in General Intelligence & General English, a Psychological Assessment Test, and an interview. After completing the course, students can receive a permanent or short service commission as nurses in the Indian Army.

About MNS Nursing
MNS stands for Military Nursing Service in the Indian Army. Women who meet the age requirements and pass the NEET UG exam can apply for admission to Nursing Colleges associated with the Indian Defence forces. After completing their studies at these colleges, graduates receive a Permanent or Short Service Commission in the Indian Army.
During their internship period, students receive a stipend and various other allowances until they are officially commissioned as nurse officers in the forces.
The selection process starts with the NEET UG scores. Then, candidates take a Computer Based Test covering General Intelligence, General English (TOGIGE), Psychological Assessment, and an Interview.
